    Google Assistant

Are you running this on a Raspberry Pi zero? Just browsing through some Github issues there may be an issue with the hotword service starting correctly. Typically erroring with "illegal instruction". This Github topic may have a solution: https://github.com/googlesamples/assistant-sdk-python/issues/235 I will need to look into this more and test.

will not execute on boot up

Hi @PiLover, I will need to go back through the tutorial and test to see if i can recreate the issue you're having. It's possible that boot sequence has changed thus the script is being called at the wrong time. In the meantime, you can try increasing the sleep time and see if that will fix the issue.

    Permission denied with Transmission

What's the user for Transmission now? You will need to add it to a group that has permissions to write into the NAS folders. If the Pi user can make directories, files etc. then add the user to the pi group.

    Permission denied with Transmission

You will need to give permission to transmission to be able to write in these directories. First, you need to check who owns the files/folders. Something like the following should get you the right information ls -l /home/piuser/MyNAS/ It might be something like pi pi or root root. I recommend not giving the transmission user root rights for security reasons. Next, you need to give Transmission rights to write in the folders. You can add transmission to a group by running something like. usermod -aG pi debian-transmission This should give permission to Transmission, but it will need to be tested.

    apache webserver and htaccess

If you only made changes to the htaccess and htpasswd files then it's likely something you did has broken the server. I recommend reverting the changes and then slowly add your changes again. Constantly check to see if something breaks. You can also view Apache log for errors, typically located at /var/log/apache2/access.log

    NAS and Plex?

Hi @flattrump, No, it shouldn't mess up your Plex server. However, I do recommend backing up the SD card so that if something does go wrong you can easily revert.

    OPENVPN RPI3 AP Leaking DNS.

Preventing DNS leaks section in this tutorial worked for me https://pimylifeup.com/raspberry-pi-nordvpn/ I made use of Cloudflare's DNS, but OpenDNS should also work. The device you're using to connect might also be causing the DNS leak. I would also recommend changing the DNS on those devices. You might also want to disable WebRTC on your smartphone to prevent leakage.
  12. Excellent, glad to hear that you got the audio working correctly. This question appears to address the issue of setting the language of the Google assistant. https://stackoverflow.com/questions/48017507/how-do-i-change-the-language-locale-in-the-google-assistant-sdk Can set in the Google Assistant devices settings (Google Assistant > Explore > Settings > Devices) or you can simply use an argument. --lang en-uk

Google Assistant on Raspberry Pi B+

Hi @ImmagineThief, Going on the error message, it appears the project_id that you have entered does not match the id for the project you logged in with. I recommend revisiting the "Registering for the Google API" section and double checking you have set everything up correctly. If you're unsure of the Project ID you can go to Actions Console on Google, click the project you created, then click the Cog in the top left-hand corner then “Project Settings“.
